If you want to know how your employees feel about the organisation, just ask them, and if you don’t want to know, you should.
Why? Because the level of employee engagement affects your bottom line.
- Engaged employees in the UK take an average of 2.69 sick days per year; the disengaged take 6.19.
- Companies with high levels of employee engagement improved 19.2 per cent in operating income while companies with low levels of employee engagement declined 32.7 percent over the study period.
- A study of 23,910 business units compared top quartile and bottom quartile engagement scores and found that those in the top quartile averaged 12% higher profitability.
